Paul McGuire, noted radio talk show host and sought after speaker addressed a very small audience at Beth Ariel Fellowship in Canoga Park Tuesday evening speaking on Bible Prophecy and world events.
The most important part of his message is that of course, Christians, God’s people, must humble themselves, repent of their sin and pray. Pray for revival, pray that those who handle the word of God will teach it accurately and stop buying into the political climate of peace and prosperity for all.
Jesus came to give mankind hope for eternity. He fed, healed and offered peace to people, but it was the peace that passes all understanding. It was peace with God. Those who are in churches praying for world peace need to read their bibles. Those who think they will clothe and feed the world and rid the world of hunger have set themselves up as do- gooders, teaching a gospel of salvation by works.
Though it is in the spirit of Christ that we give a cup of water to one who is thirsty, much more important is that we give them living water that they will never thirst again, the true gospel of Jesus Christ. He shed His precious blood in our place so that we might have eternal life and a more abundant life here on earth. Any other gospel is a counterfeit. Run from it, don’ t submit to it.
The gospel of Christ is not cute, comfy, or cuddly. It is a hard message for a sinning world. God, who became man, walked the earth, was tortured and crucified for men, rose again on the third day and now offers salvation from eternal death due to sin through His own precious blood.
If the message is given without the inclusion of Christ’s shed blood for sin, it is not the true gospel. The bible says without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Have you accepted the free gift? Do you know you are forgiven?
